Appalachia Christmas Project

  • St. Paul & Minneapolis Archdiocesan CCW – 2022 Appalachia Christmas Mission

The 2022 Appalachia Christmas Mission Project is again being sponsored by The Archdiocesan Council of Catholic  Women. The Mission started in 2013 and since then people in many age groups have benefited from your generosity. Letters are received every year packed full of grateful thanksgiving.  The poorest of the poor are so appreciative of what the Appalachia Christmas Mission provides.

This year has been especially devastating for the people of Kentucky. At the end of July and into August, storms with heavy rains caused flash flooding and mudslides, resulting in loss of life and severe damage to homes. Bridges were destroyed, and many people were displaced, in an area already affected by widespread poverty.
