All women of St. Odilia Community are members of St. Odilia Council of Catholic Women (CCW). Together they support the many activities of St. Odilia since the 1960’s. We are affiliated with the National Council of Catholic Women, Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women as well as St. Paul Deanery Council of Catholic Women. Many of St. Odilia’s parish programs started with CCW such as altar linen cleaning, coffee and donuts, book nook and desserts for the annual Fall festival. CCW holds events during the year that are open to all women. And annual dues are only $5.00!
CCW MISSION STATEMENT
Our Mission Statement reflects our commitment to all women to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership, and service. Our programs respond with Gospel values to the needs of the church and society in the modern world.
CCW works to promote the spiritual life of its members and is committed to keeping alive the tradition of honoring Mary. Our patroness is Our Lady of Good Counsel.
St. Odilia CCW has a tradition of tireless support of the parish. Money raised in our fundraising activities are used in our parish community for our faith formation activities, Sarah’s Table, Appalachia Project, SPRED and much more. We also support many missions such as Birthright, Cradle of Hope, Franciscan Brothers, Listening House, Our Lady of Peace Home and Madonna Plan just to name a few.
St. Odilia CCW has a Fall pot-luck supper and gathering, two sales during the year to support our mission work, Masses for our deceased members, support for St. Odilia Eighth Grade essay contest and more. Watch for updates on upcoming activities and we encourage all women to join in. For the next three years, CCW will be taking an active role in the Archdiocesan Synod.
