• Curriculum Philosophy

St. Odilia School provides a challenging academic program that encourages children to think, create, and evaluate at a higher level of learning. Our child-centered teaching philosophy allows our faculty the flexibility to modify their instructional techniques to meet the diverse learning styles of our students. A sense of community enhances the student's learning experience as teachers partner with parents to enable each student to realize his or her full potential.

Our curricula meet archdiocesan, national, and state standards. The curriculum is chosen and designed to give each student a strong foundation in a rapidly changing world. Our programs are anchored by the teachings of our faith and the values that we strive to instill in each student. Our commitment to give each student the opportunity to reach his or her full potential drives a core curriculum of Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Religion, Science, and Social Studies. We supplement and enhance this learning with instruction in computer and multi-media technology, Music, Art, library skills, foreign languages, Physical Education and Health. Each of our curricula is reviewed, assessed, and enhanced regularly to assure that it meets the needs of our student body.
